Officers converged on the Mobil station at the river-facing end of the drive shortly after 1:30 p.m., roping off part of the area with police tape while ambulances and multiple cruisers clogged nearby streets. Witnesses described panicked moments and serious traffic snarls as police moved in to secure the scene.
According to Boston 25 News, video from the scene showed a cluster of police cruisers and ambulances blocking roads and a section of Memorial Drive taped off as investigators worked. The outlet quoted Mobil employee Dennis Rodriguez, who said, “He just started shooting out of nowhere, and he shot a lot.” Boston 25 News reported that it was not immediately clear whether anyone was injured.
