As reported by PIX11, officers found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds and took him to a local hospital, where he was listed in stable condition by police. PIX11 notes investigators have not released the victim’s name and are asking anyone with information or surveillance footage from the area to contact detectives.
Police Search For Shooter
The shooting happened on a stretch of Northern Boulevard that serves as a busy commercial corridor between Jackson Heights and East Elmhurst. Jackson Heights is a densely trafficked neighborhood where cameras and storefront video often help investigations. Tracking groups that compile city shooting data say incidents remain a frequent public-safety concern in New York City, and the Gun Violence Archive maintains an up-to-date catalog of shootings that investigators and reporters reference.
