Las Vegas police are asking the public to help track down a man accused of pulling an early-morning armed robbery at a business near East Charleston Boulevard and Maryland Parkway. According to the department, the holdup happened on April 9 around 7:30 a.m., and investigators say the suspect "committed the crime of Robbery with a Deadly Weapon." Detectives want anyone who recognizes the man in the surveillance image to call the LVMPD Robbery Section at 702-828-3591 or contact Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555. Tips that lead to a felony arrest or indictment may be eligible for a cash reward.
Police Released Surveillance Photo
To ramp up the search, LVMPD shared a still image from surveillance video with local media outlets, according to News 3 Las Vegas. The station reports that the image came directly from LVMPD and that investigators are asking people to study the photo closely for any identifying details that might help put a name to the face.
Other Maryland Parkway Incidents This Spring
The renewed push for tips follows several other Maryland Parkway-area robberies reported earlier this spring, including cases on March 23 and March 25 that were also caught on camera. KTNV reported on the March 23 incident, while FOX5 covered a March 25 commercial robbery along Maryland Parkway.
How To Submit A Tip
Anyone who thinks they recognize the suspect in the latest case is urged to call the LVMPD Robbery Section at 702-828-3591. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers of Nevada at 702-385-5555 or through the P3 mobile app. Tips that directly result in an arrest or indictment may qualify for a cash reward, according to News 3 Las Vegas.
What Charges Could Follow
If a suspect is identified and charged, robbery with the use of a deadly weapon is treated as a serious felony in Nevada and can carry a prison sentence. Under the Nevada Revised Statutes, robbery is a category B felony, and using a deadly weapon brings additional mandatory penalties. Statutory details are outlined in NRS Chapter 200 and NRS 193.165.
