
A late-morning walk along Laurel Avenue NW turned into a shooting scene on Saturday when someone in a passing car opened fire on a man in northwest Atlanta, police said. The victim was hit in the arm and foot but was still conscious when first responders arrived.
According to FOX 5 Atlanta, officers were called around 11:43 a.m. to the 1600 block of Laurel Avenue NW, where they found the man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Grady EMS took him to a local hospital for treatment, and he was described at the scene as alert, conscious and breathing.
Investigation and tips
Investigators say a dark sedan pulled up alongside the victim and someone in the rear passenger seat rolled down a window and opened fire. Police have not released a description of the shooter or the car, and the motive is still a mystery.
