KP’s Kitchen is pulling out of Bellaire at the end of the month, as owner Kerry Pauly gets ready to pour all his attention into the original Spring Valley spot.

Pauly announced that the Bellaire location will serve its last meals on May 31 so he can focus on the Spring Valley flagship. The Bellaire restaurant, which opened in 2024, will keep rolling out daily specials through the end of the month while staff members transition to the other location.

Pauly Says He Needs to Refocus on Spring Valley

Pauly told the Houston Chronicle that steady growth at the Spring Valley restaurant and his desire to be more present with guests were at the heart of the decision. “I can’t be in two places at once,” he wrote in a statement.

He explained that most Bellaire employees have already picked up shifts at the Spring Valley location, and that help will be offered to any team members who are unable to make the move.

Where KP's Kitchen Has Been and What Is on the Menu

KP's Kitchen lists the Spring Valley address as 8412 Interstate 10 Frontage Rd #350 and the Bellaire address as 5427 Bissonnet Street #400. The Bellaire outpost opened in April 2024 and quickly picked up a neighborhood following for its comfort food favorites and weekly deals. As CultureMap notes, chef Richard Knight signed on last year as culinary director and updated the menu.

Staff, Specials and the Immediate Future

According to the Houston Chronicle, Pauly is urging regulars to make the most of Bellaire’s final days and says the company will keep daily specials going at both locations during the transition.

Through its final weeks, Bellaire will offer kids eat free on Tuesdays, all day happy hour on Wednesdays and $5 select cocktails on Sundays. Pauly said that consolidating operations will allow him to be more hands on at Spring Valley and that he is not ruling out the idea of opening a second KP’s location again in the future.
