The spot is slated to start serving in the first week of June, with a quick-service setup built around fresher, lighter options. Inside, neighbors can expect the same plant-filled, muralled vibe that has become a signature at Syed’s other cafés.
What Toasted Will Serve
On the breakfast side, Syed plans a lineup of breakfast burritos and build-your-own breakfast sandwiches, plus upgraded toast options. The menu calls for avocado toast finished with whipped ricotta and fig jam, along with toasts topped with lox and chive cream cheese. Lunch is set to bring soups, salads, grilled cheese, chicken Caesar, ham and cheese, Caprese, and a turkey-jalapeño option. Vegan choices and fresh-squeezed juices are also in the mix. Built From the Roasted Brand
Toasted is essentially an offshoot of Syed’s Roasted cafés. She developed the sandwich concept while running the Tremont location, but decided the idea needed its own dedicated space instead of trying to squeeze a full kitchen into the existing coffee bar. Roasted started in Tremont and later expanded to a Lakewood shop on Madison Avenue, where Syed has leaned into community events, small-batch Honduran beans, and plant-forward interiors.
