The team behind Pinecrest hot spot The Last Page is planting a new flag in Bath this summer, turning the former Corner Provisions space at 1070 Ghent Road into 1818 American Grille, a neighborhood-minded American restaurant built around live fire and classic comfort.
The venture is led by owner Todd Leebow alongside partner Jon Gross and chef Brad Race. The plan is to ease into service rather than flip a single grand-opening switch. First up will be a chef-facing Grille Room, with the main dining room and expansive covered patio following later in the summer.
According to Cleveland Scene, 1818 American Grille will describe itself as an all-American grille concept and fully take over the former Corner Provisions address at 1070 Ghent Road. The Grille Room is slated to sit right inside the kitchen for an intimate, chef-facing experience, while the primary dining room and patio are expected to come online by mid-summer.
Menu Built Around Live Fire
Chef Brad Race is building a menu centered on American classics and anchored by a wood-fire grill. "Great food doesn't need to be complicated, it just needs to be done exceptionally well," Race told Cleveland Scene. Steaks, seafood and seasonal vegetables are all set to finish over live fire to amp up flavor and texture.
What The Space Will Offer
In a press release via PR Newswire, The Last Page team outlined plans for a main dining room, private dining areas, a generous covered patio and a signature "Chef's Corner" tucked into the open kitchen. The release notes that the project is guided by an experienced hospitality group that includes investor Gary Shamis in addition to Leebow, Gross and Race.
From Pinecrest To Bath
The Bath project extends The Last Page's reach beyond its Pinecrest home base and leans on Race's rising profile in the Cleveland dining scene. As detailed on The Last Page's website, the group focuses on approachable, chef-driven dishes and thoughtful hospitality meant to work just as well for a weeknight dinner as for a special occasion.
The team says more details, including firm opening dates and reservation information, will roll out as buildout continues. For now, local diners can look for the Grille Room to open in early summer, with the full dining room and patio to follow in mid-summer.
