A Friday night drive in Cockeysville turned deadly when a single-vehicle crash near Loch Raven Reservoir left one adult dead and three juveniles injured, according to local authorities. The wreck was reported around 9:45 p.m. at the intersection of Poplar Hill Road and Merrymans Mill Road, where emergency crews found one passenger pronounced dead at the scene and three others transported to area hospitals.
What Authorities Say
Baltimore County police told WBAL NewsRadio that a preliminary investigation indicates the vehicle was traveling southbound on Poplar Hill Road when it left the roadway and struck a tree. Officers responded to the intersection of Poplar Hill Road and Merrymans Mill Road at about 9:45 p.m., the station reported, with rescue crews from the Baltimore County Fire Department assisting at the scene.
Victims And Hospitalizations
According to WMAR-2 News, the juvenile driver and one juvenile passenger suffered life-threatening injuries and were taken to area hospitals. A second juvenile passenger sustained non-life-threatening injuries. A fourth occupant, an adult passenger, was pronounced dead at the scene.
