
A late-night dispute in Highbridge turned violent just before 1 a.m. Wednesday, leaving three people injured in a shooting outside 1235 Grand Concourse, according to News 12 New York.
Officers responding to the scene found a 24-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his right leg, a 22-year-old man with a graze wound to the back of his head, and a 30-year-old woman with a graze wound to her neck. All three were taken to Lincoln Hospital and are expected to recover. Police say the shooting stemmed from an earlier dispute.
Investigators are looking for three men who took off on foot, heading southbound along the Grand Concourse. No arrests have been made as the investigation continues, per News 12 New York.

The shooting is the latest in a string of violent incidents along the Grand Concourse corridor and in the surrounding Highbridge neighborhood, where recent stabbings and shootings have residents on edge. Citywide, shootings are down overall, but the Bronx is bucking that trend with roughly a 24 percent increase in shootings so far this year, based on NYPD statistics reported by Gothamist.

There are still no arrests in the case, and investigators are continuing to track down leads, per News 12 New York.
