
Gunfire shattered the quiet on Orlando's Edgemoor Street late Wednesday night, leaving two people wounded and police working to untangle what unfolded in the dark.
Officers were called to the 4600 block of Edgemoor Street around 10:30 p.m., where they found one person with a gunshot wound. That victim was rushed to a local hospital. A short time later, a second person tied to the same incident showed up at an emergency room on their own. The Orlando Police Department says the investigation remains active.
What police say
According to FOX 35 Orlando, officers responding to the 4600 block of Edgemoor Street just before 10:30 p.m. located one person suffering from a gunshot wound and had them transported to a hospital. A second victim, connected to the same shooting, arrived at an emergency room independently shortly afterward.
Detectives have not released any description of a suspect or a possible motive. For now, investigators are still gathering evidence and speaking with anyone who might have seen or heard what happened.
