An early Sunday carjacking on the 70 block of Lynn Road in Durham left two men injured and sent to the hospital, according to police.
Officers Find One Man Shot, Another Assaulted
When officers arrived, they found one man suffering from a gunshot wound and a second man with what police described as assault-related injuries. Both were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening wounds.
According to WTVD/ABC11, officers responded around 6:10 a.m. to the 70 block of Lynn Road and located the injured men. Police say the vehicles involved in the incident have been recovered.
Call Came From New Apartment Community
WRAL reported the call came from a new apartment community on Lynn Road. On-scene crews observed blood at the scene and a mostly empty parking lot when they arrived, and reporters were working to learn whether the driver or other people at the complex were injured.
Police Ask Public To Share Tips
