
A 47-year-old man is in serious condition after being shot early Tuesday in West Baltimore, according to police. Investigators say the man was wounded on Edmondson Avenue, then made his way to a nearby hospital to get help. Detectives have opened a case, but so far, no arrests have been announced.
What Police Say
According to FOX45, officers were called around 12:30 a.m. to the 2800 block of Edmondson Avenue for reports of gunfire. When they arrived, they did not find a victim at the scene and were later notified that a 47-year-old man had walked into a nearby hospital with a gunshot wound. FOX45 reported that he was listed in serious condition.
Investigators On The Scene
As reported by WMAR-2 News, Western District officers were at the intersection of Edmondson Avenue and Poplar Grove Street around 12:06 a.m. Early findings from detectives indicate a suspect approached the man and opened fire, hitting him in the thigh and leg. The victim then fled the area and found officers nearby.
