Rougabrew, the trailer-born coffee outfit that has quietly racked up roughly 13,000 followers online, is finally putting down roots at 1645 Veterans Memorial Boulevard in Metairie. The family business, run by Vinh and Courtney Le, is sliding into the former Ash & Ollie's snowballs and soft-serve spot tucked behind Bar 504, trading in weekend-only popups and private gigs for a full-time presence in Jefferson Parish.
According to NOLA.com, Rougabrew launched as a popup in January 2025 and has already built a social media following north of 13,000. The outlet reports the crew often sells out by early afternoon, with Vinh Le juggling coffee duty alongside running Lebros MMA at Moon College, while Courtney steers the brand’s online presence.
From Trailers To A Shop
Rougabrew’s own pages list Vinh and Courtney Le as owners and still highlight a second trailer setup plus a rotating schedule of weekly popups. Their Milkshake page serves as a central hub for where the trailer will land next and how to book private events, while Rougabrew's website focuses on merch and product details for fans who want something beyond a to-go cup.
Menu And The Brew
NOLA.com notes that the menu leans heavily into cold and iced drinks, spotlighting specials like the "cookie couyon" and the "dubayou" alongside cold brew, drip coffee and matcha. Behind the scenes, the crew relies on a coffee concentrate that rests for 16 to 24 hours, with staff rolling in around 5 a.m. to keep pace with early-bird regulars.
Plans And Next Moves
Axios New Orleans reports that the Veterans location is expected to open later this month and that the Les are already scouting Marrero and Lafitte for possible future shops. The buzz they have built through popups and private events is what they are betting on to turn into reliable foot traffic once the doors stay open daily.
Where Rougabrew Fits
The Metairie move comes as both chains and indie roasters keep circling Jefferson Parish. New Orleans CityBusiness recently detailed French Truck Coffee’s expansion on Metairie Road, a sign that demand for specialty coffee is growing outside New Orleans proper. For a small, trailer-born brand that regularly sells out, a compact shop near Bonnabel could translate into more predictable hours and a steadier cash flow.
When To Go
The Les have not set a formal grand-opening date yet. Instead, fans are being pointed to Rougabrew’s social channels and the Milkshake page for soft-open info and day-to-day updates. Once full-time service kicks in, the action will be centered in the small building behind Bar 504 at 1645 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, according to the business listings and Bar 504’s location details.
