Midday gunfire rattled Baltimore’s Cherry Hill neighborhood on Wednesday, leaving a 78-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man wounded as detectives launched yet another shooting investigation in South Baltimore.
Police say officers were called to the 800 block of Seagull Avenue around 3:03 p.m. on May 6. According to Fox Baltimore, officers found the 78-year-old woman at the scene with a gunshot wound to her leg. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
A 22-year-old man later walked into a hospital with a gunshot wound to his foot, police said. Southern District detectives have opened an investigation into the shooting and are working to determine how the two victims were wounded and whether they were targeted or caught in the line of fire. Officials have not released their conditions.
