Crime scene investigators and homicide detectives responded as the sheriff’s office opened an active investigation.

In a post shared on Facebook, the Harris County Sheriff's Office said deputies had located the woman inside the complex and noted that "CSI and homicide detectives are responding" to the scene. The statement did not release the woman’s name, list a cause of death, or indicate whether any arrests had been made.
