A stabbing call on a North Philadelphia block turned into a homicide investigation late Sunday, after officers found a 41-year-old woman shot in the neck and chest on the 3000 block of North 15th Street. She was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
Officers arrived at the scene at about 11:30 p.m., according to 6abc, and discovered the woman suffering from gunshot wounds. Investigators told the station that no suspect or motive had been released as detectives continued to comb through evidence at the scene early Monday.
Police ask residents for tips
Per the City of Philadelphia, anyone with information can call or text 215-686-TIPS (8477), email [email protected] or use the online tip form to share details anonymously. The city notes a standing reward of up to $20,000 for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in a homicide case.

The killing adds to a string of recent shootings in North Philadelphia. Hoodline previously covered a May 4 fatal shooting inside a Temple-area home, one of several cases that investigators say are keeping detectives busy.
Homicide detectives are leading the investigation and said they plan to release more details as they become available. Officers continued to canvass the block and review any available video or witness accounts, according to 6abc.
