The incident unfolded around 2 a.m., after a fight inside the bar spilled into the parking lot and a security guard kicked a man out. Two men were hit by gunfire and taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Both are expected to recover.
Shooter Opens Fire After Getting Kicked Out, Police Say
According to News 4 San Antonio, officers said the man who had been ejected returned to the parking lot of La Carreta on San Pedro Avenue near Santa Monica Street and opened fire. One man was shot in the leg and another in the ankle. Reporter Christopher Hoffman noted that the shooter fled before officers arrived, leaving police to sort through the aftermath in the lot. Investigators were on scene early Thursday, and police said the suspect had not yet been arrested.
