
An off-duty New Baden police officer was struck and killed late Tuesday while walking on a rural stretch of road between New Baden and Trenton in Clinton County. Clinton County dispatchers received a 911 call at 11:51 p.m. reporting a pedestrian struck in the 200 block of Wesclin Road, Sheriff Dan Travous said, according to RiverBender. First responders found Jordan with head and chest injuries and took him to HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon.
