
Overnight gunfire shattered the quiet in Chicago's Irving Park neighborhood early Wednesday, leaving a 44-year-old man shot in both legs on a busy Northwest Side corridor.
Police said the shooting happened around 3:01 a.m. in the 3900 block of West Irving Park Road near Harding Avenue. The man was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center and was reported in good condition, according to authorities. Grand Central Area detectives were assigned to the case and are investigating.
