Dublin is about to get a whole lot saucier next week, as Panda Express opens its first location inside city limits with a ribbon-cutting, giveaways, and a nod to local charity.
Opening day and community celebration
According to 614NOW, doors officially open next Tuesday, when Panda Express will kick things off with a 9:30 a.m. community celebration and formal ribbon cutting. The first “lucky 88” guests are set to score free T-shirts, and the Dublin Chamber of Commerce will mark the occasion by presenting a donation to the Dublin Food Pantry.
Where it's located
The Dublin Chamber of Commerce lists the new restaurant at 2750 Summer Drive in the Sawmill Road retail corridor, putting the shop in the mix with neighboring eateries and services. The site is a roughly 2,900-square-foot retail building, per LoopNet, and recent job postings connected to Panda Restaurant Group have flagged the same address as a hiring location ahead of opening day, according to Indeed.
Local context
Although this is Panda Express’ first spot inside Dublin city limits, central Ohio diners already know the menu well, with the chain operating more than a dozen locations around the greater Columbus area. The opening follows a press announcement describing Panda Express as the “largest American Chinese dining concept in the U.S.,” as reported by 614NOW.
