
A pre-dawn homicide investigation drew a heavy police presence to the 15400 block of FM-1825 Road early Wednesday, as Austin police officers and the department’s public information officer worked a scene near a busy movie theater parking lot.
Detectives were processing the area, and the investigation was still active at the time of the department’s initial notice. A media briefing was scheduled in the nearby Cinemark parking lot in the early morning hours.

According to a post from the Austin Police Department on X, officers were on scene of a homicide investigation in the 15400 block of FM-1825 Road, and the department’s public information officer was already at the location. The post, signed "PIO9," stated that a media briefing would take place in the Cinemark parking lot at 15436 FM-1825 at approximately 4:40 a.m. The initial announcement did not include any information about victims or possible suspects.
Where The Scene Is
The briefing site, Cinemark Tinseltown/Pflugerville, lists 15436 FM 1825 as its official address, placing the theater along the FM-1825 corridor near I-35. Cinemark shows the theater at that address in Pflugerville, just north of Austin’s city limits.
