PRESS Coffee is gearing up to pour its first West Valley cups, with a planned Peoria cafe set to land inside the Sprouts Farmers Market at Lake Pleasant Towne Center. The Phoenix roaster has not yet announced an official opening date or hiring timeline for the new shop.
According to WhatNow Phoenix, an Instagram post recently spotlighted construction activity at the Four Corners Sprouts at 10134 W Happy Valley Rd, near Lake Pleasant Parkway and Happy Valley Road. The outlet reported that the post pointed to new signage and prep work for an in-store Press cafe at the site.
PRESS Coffee was founded in 2008 by Steve Kraus and Tram Mai and roasts its beans daily at a Phoenix roastery, according to Press Coffee. Over the years, the brand has stretched across the Valley with a mix of traditional street-front cafes and smaller in-store kiosks.
The planned Peoria location is expected to offer Press's familiar lineup of espresso drinks, drip coffee, nitro cold brew, teas and matcha, along with grab-and-go options like breakfast sandwiches, burritos, pastries and other small bites, WhatNow Phoenix reports. Across its locations, the chain leans into fresh-roasted beans and coffee-forward beverages rather than heavily flavored concoctions.
In-store model fits Peoria location
Press already operates several Sprouts-based cafes and lists multiple in-store Sprouts shops on its locations page, so the Lake Pleasant setup is expected to mirror that established format rather than a full standalone buildout. The compact, pickup-friendly footprint has become a key part of the company's growth strategy, according to Press Coffee.
Peoria retail scene drawing national brands
Lake Pleasant Towne Center has been pulling in a wave of national concepts in recent months, with local coverage tying the momentum to active leasing and a rising daytime population in the area. other additions to the center help explain why operators are zeroing in on the corridor.
Press Coffee has not yet publicly confirmed when the Peoria cafe will open. This story will be updated once the company releases an official timeline and hiring details. Until then, West Valley coffee drinkers can expect a familiar setup when doors do open, with the same fresh-roasted beans and quick-service menu already found at Press locations around the Valley.
