
NYPD detectives are searching for a man accused of attacking three children inside Bush-Clinton Park in Red Hook last Monday, allegedly knocking a 12-year-old and a 5-year-old to the ground and choking a 7-year-old. The children were treated by EMS at the scene, and investigators were told the suspect also smashed the 12-year-old’s phone during the encounter. No arrests had been announced at the time of reporting.
According to News12, police say all three victims are under 13 and are asking the public for help identifying the suspect. The outlet reports the encounter happened inside the park last Monday, and investigators have not publicly released a description of the man.

The incident took place inside Bush-Clinton Park, part of the Red Hook Recreation Area, a block of playgrounds, ballfields and a pool that local families regularly use for sports and play. The park is managed by NYC Parks, which notes that the area includes the Bush-Clinton playground and multiple recreational facilities.
Authorities say the investigation is active and anyone with information should contact NYPD Crime Stoppers. Police have not released further details about the suspect’s appearance or a possible motive.
