Demure Cocktail Lounge, a 1960s-inspired spot from local operator Pikeld Concepts, is slated to open to the public in July inside a carefully preserved Germantown house at 1319 Sixth Avenue North. The build-out leans on mid-century modern touches, with warm wood paneling, geometric wallpaper, and vintage sconces and chandeliers, while retaining original flourishes in the historic structure. The result, the team says, is meant to feel intimate and transportive: a neighborhood lounge with a design-forward cocktail program.
Design and drinks
As reported by Nashville Lifestyles, Demure plans to center its menu on classic and contemporary libations crafted with house-made syrups, bitters, and infusions. The bar will also pour a curated wine list and a rotating selection of beers. Antique glassware and vintage bar tools will pull double duty as décor, reinforcing the mid-century sensibility the team is trying to channel.
The team behind the project
Pikeld Concepts lists Demure in its portfolio and describes the concept as a mid-century modern cocktail lounge designed for conversation and small gatherings. Pikeld is already known locally for Amendment XVIII in Franklin and is positioning Demure as the group’s Germantown entry.
Operations and design leadership
To run food and beverage at Demure, Pikeld tapped Trudy Thomas as senior director of food & beverage operations, the report says. Thomas’s resume includes leadership roles with Wolfgang Puck Restaurant Group and Marriott. Nashville Lifestyles also notes that Jessica Adams Designs is leading the interior and outdoor design, while Jason Maikkula and Chris Prince of Restore Remodel Renew LLC are heading construction for the project.
Local footprint and ownership
Steve Barone, who leads Pikeld Concepts and is the owner of Jackalope Brewing Company, has described the project as an effort to create a timeless neighborhood venue. Jackalope’s recent acquisition of Black Abbey underscores Barone’s expanding hospitality footprint in Middle Tennessee, and Pikeld’s existing Amendment XVIII concept in Franklin signals the company’s continued focus on cocktail-forward hospitality. A company release on PR Newswire and Pikeld’s site provides additional background on those operations.
Timeline and what’s next
Demure’s team says additional details, including a firm opening date, programming, and menu specifics, will be announced ahead of the July debut. For now, the project joins a steady stream of neighborhood-scale openings reshaping Germantown’s restaurant and bar mix as the summer season approaches.
