Emergency medical crews pronounced him dead at the scene, and investigators stayed in the area into the evening. A firearm was found close to the body, according to officials.
As reported by FOX 26 Houston, deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s office were called out to Fairwood on a report of a male lying in a ditch. When they arrived, they discovered the man had a gunshot wound, and EMS later confirmed he was deceased.
