A carjacking and shooting unfolded yesterday around 5:43 p.m. near the Old Navy at Baldwin Road and Brown Road in Orion Township, just north of I-75. One person was hit by gunfire, and authorities say the injury is believed to be non-life-threatening. Deputies and first responders converged on the Baldwin Commons parking lot, locking down the area so evidence technicians could get to work.
According to WXYZ, Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said his department responded to the scene and confirmed the incident time at around 5:43 p.m. The station's Chopper 7 video showed deputies and crime-scene technicians spread across the lot as investigators combed the area for evidence.
