The Smashing Pumpkins are rolling their Rats In A Cage Tour into Nashville this fall, parking at The Truth on Oct. 22, 2026, for a marathon tribute to their landmark era. The 27-date run promises two full sets each night, with one devoted to playing Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness in its entirety and a second pulling from nearly four decades of hits and deep cuts. The trek doubles as a 30th anniversary salute to the band’s 1995 double album.
The band announced the tour on their official site, billing it as a special arena-level celebration of Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness. According to the Smashing Pumpkins' website, The Rats In A Cage Tour is set to run from Sept. 30 through Nov. 12. Pitchfork and other music outlets shared the full itinerary over the weekend.
Tickets and presales
Ticket listings show a busy presale calendar before the general public even gets a shot. Citi® Cardmember and Verizon presales open Tuesday, May 19, at 10 a.m. local time, followed by a Live Nation All Access presale on May 20. The general on-sale is scheduled for Thursday, May 21, at 10 a.m. local.
According to Ticketmaster, Citi cardholders can use the first six digits of an eligible card as a presale code, while Verizon customers need to link their accounts to access Verizon presales. Blabbermouth and other trade outlets also note that VIP packages and venue-specific presales will be available.
What to expect from the show
Billy Corgan has said that building a full-scale Mellon Collie production is something the band has talked about for years and is finally taking on the road. In a statement quoted by CBS Pittsburgh, Corgan described the first set as presenting Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness in a “highly theatrical setting,” with the second set drawing from the group’s catalog of hits and darker deep cuts.
For fans, that translates to a two-part night built around the album that blew the band into the mainstream, plus a rotating selection of longtime live staples and fan-favorite obscurities. If you have strong opinions about which deep cuts qualify, you are very much the target audience here.
Venue notes for Nashville fans
The Truth, a Live Nation operated downtown venue, is listed as the Nashville stop on Oct. 22 and directs buyers to Ticketmaster for purchases. The Truth's site has the date on its schedule, and local coverage such as WKRN News 2 spotlighted the show over the weekend. Given the tour’s arena routing and the album focus, expect demand to be intense for the Nashville date.
If you are aiming for presale access, log in early and have your accounts linked before the clock hits 10 a.m. Ticketmaster advises getting set up in advance to avoid long virtual queues, and it also lists venue details and VIP options on its event pages for the tour.
