Sonoma County Tourism is planting its flag in Santa Rosa’s Fountaingrove neighborhood, signing a lease for a big new office at the Fountaingrove Center on Round Barn Boulevard. The nonprofit tourism bureau is taking roughly 17,000 square feet, about a third of the building, to consolidate staff and beef up its visitor-services operation. The move gives the agency a highly visible spot in the Fountaingrove submarket near Sonoma County Airport and Highway 101.
Lease details and who brokered it
According to CoStar, Sonoma County Tourism signed a 17,023-square-foot lease at 3558 Round Barn Blvd., with brokers Dave Peterson, Shawn Johnson and Brian Keegan of Keegan & Coppin putting the deal together. CoStar reports the space represents roughly one-third of the Fountaingrove Center building and ranks among the larger Santa Rosa office leases this season.
About the building
The property, marketed as Fountaingrove Center, consists of three Class A office buildings at 3550–3558 Round Barn Boulevard and totals roughly 161,175 square feet, according to Basin Street Properties. The campus advertises free parking, on-site conference rooms and easy access to Highway 101 and Sonoma County Airport, perks that line up neatly with what a countywide tourism bureau likes to show off.
Board sign-off and timing
Per Sonoma County Tourism meeting materials, the Finance & Legal committee included a “New Office Lease” item tied to 3558 Round Barn Blvd. on its Feb. 23 agenda, and the full board listed the lease as an item at its Feb. 25 meeting. The organization’s contact page also lists 3558 Round Barn Blvd., Suite 106, as a mailing address, indicating that the new spot has already been added it the official paperwork.
Why it matters
The additional square footage gives Sonoma County Tourism room to stretch out its marketing, partner outreach and in-person visitor services as the county leans into events and regional travel promotion.
