Delta Shores, South Sacramento’s rapidly filling retail hub, is in line for a new dose of carbs and caffeine, with Paris Baguette planning a bakery-café in the development’s North Satellite. The move would bring a national bakery brand into a neighborhood that has been steadily drawing new restaurants and big-name tenants.
According to the Sacramento Business Journal, the chain is working on securing a storefront at Delta Shores, though no firm opening date has been made public. Reporter Melanie Nguyen spotted the Paris Baguette listing among a batch of recent retail leases in the complex.
Merlone Geier, which owns and leases the center, shows Paris Baguette as a 3,255-square-foot tenant at the Delta Shores North Satellite. The flyer pins the storefront at Cosumnes River Boulevard and Delta Shores Circle South and labels the space as “Available or Coming Soon,” a hint that the deal is still in the leasing or pre-build stage.
The Delta Shores shop would be part of Paris Baguette’s broader push across the United States. The company says it opened 77 new cafés in 2025 and signed about 300 development agreements as it moved into new markets, according to a press release on PR Newswire. The brand has also indicated plans to invest in a North American manufacturing facility to support that growth.
What To Expect At The New Shop
Paris Baguette locations typically blend French-style breads and cakes with Asian-influenced pastries, a mix the Sacramento Bee has described at existing local cafés. That means a lineup that can include croissants, made-to-order celebration cakes and mochi doughnuts, plus coffee and sandwiches.
That kind of all-day menu tends to attract both early commuters and lunchtime crowds, which could shuffle the daily traffic patterns for nearby cafés and quick-service spots once the doors eventually open.
Delta Shores Retail Momentum
Delta Shores is an 800-acre master-planned community that developers have been pitching as a major shopping destination for South Sacramento, according to leasing materials for the center. The property has already landed several new dining options this year; local chain Jack’s Urban Eats, for instance, has announced plans for a Delta Shores restaurant at 8148 Delta Shores Circle South, per local reporting, highlighting how active the leasing pipeline has become.
For now, there is still no public opening date for Paris Baguette’s Delta Shores café, and the company and property manager have not offered a timeline or staffing details. Neighbors can expect to see construction signage and hiring notices once the project moves from paper to buildout. We will update when a grand opening date is set.
