A 52-year-old man was hospitalized after being stabbed multiple times on San Antonio’s South Side early Sunday. San Antonio police are still searching for the suspect.
What police say
Just after 3 a.m., officers were dispatched to the intersection of South Flores Street and West Huff Avenue, where they found the man bleeding with multiple stab wounds across his upper body. He was rushed to a hospital for treatment. Police said he could not provide a description of the attacker, no arrests have been made, and the investigation remains open, according to KSAT.
How to help investigators
SAPD is asking anyone with information, including surveillance or cellphone video, to come forward. Per the City of San Antonio, the department’s non-emergency number is 210-207-7273, and Crime Stoppers of San Antonio accepts anonymous tips at 210-224-STOP.
A pattern on South Flores
This latest assault adds to a troubling run of violence reported along South Flores and nearby streets. In February, police arrested a man linked to a December car-wash stabbing on the 5900 block of South Flores, according to KSAT, and Hoodline previously chronicled a December attack that left a man fighting for his life on the same stretch.
SAPD detectives say their probe into Sunday’s stabbing is active and that anyone with video or eyewitness details should contact investigators or submit an anonymous tip. Officials have not released additional information about a suspect or the victim’s condition while the department continues its on-scene work.
