
Police in southwest Oklahoma City spent Thursday afternoon tracking a shooting suspect after a woman was wounded and rushed to a local hospital, while the man officers say shot her ditched his car in a crash and took off on foot through the neighborhood.
According to KOCO, the shooting happened in the 2000 block of Southwest 14th Street, where the woman was reportedly shot by her boyfriend. After the gunfire, police say the man drove off, sparking a chase that ended when his vehicle crashed near Southwest 16th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue. He ran from the wreck and remained at large as officers combed the area on foot. The woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
