Atlanta is lining up a massive new way to beat the heat next summer, and you will not have to worry about the weather ruining the fun. Thrillz Atlanta is set to open on June 10, 2026, bringing a 35-foot mega slide tower, a 40-foot indoor drop tower and more than 20 rides, obstacle courses and VR experiences to the city. Organizers are pitching the place as both a family hangout and a regional draw for serious thrill seekers heading into peak vacation season.
Secret Atlanta first reported the June 10 opening date and broke down the headline attractions, calling the 35-foot slide tower “the only one of its kind in North America.” The outlet also highlighted a nearly 40-foot climbing wall, a soft-play jungle gym that tops 10,000 square feet and one of only four Grave Digger VR experiences on the continent. According to Secret Atlanta, the venue will pack in 10 private party rooms and “20+ total attractions,” with the aim of being fully up and running in time for summer vacation.
What to Expect Inside Thrillz
The company behind Thrillz already runs indoor adventure parks that mash up wipeout-style obstacles, VR coasters, laser tag, trampolines and indoor drop-tower rides, so Atlanta is not exactly a blank slate. If the local buildout tracks with the brand’s existing layout, guests can look for aerial challenge elements that send visitors tumbling safely onto giant airbags, a VR roller coaster, wall-to-wall trampolines and classic midway-style carnival rides brought indoors. The Danbury, Connecticut location, laid out on Thrillz, offers a snapshot of the chain’s typical attractions and pricing structure.
Where It Is Going And City Sign-Off
Municipal planning records show that Thrillz applied for, and received, a conditional-use approval for an indoor amusement park at 4280 Northeast Expressway. The City of Doraville council zoning agenda from Sept. 18, 2024 lists the request as “CUP-24-03” and describes it as a proposal for a commercial recreation establishment greater than 3,000 square feet in an M-1, or light manufacturing, district. The agenda packet and permit summary are posted in City of Doraville records.
Why Here, And What Comes Next
The site sits just off the I-285 and I-85 interchange better known as Spaghetti Junction, a location planners say should make it easy to pull visitors from across metro Atlanta and around the Southeast. The corporate website for Thrillz now lists “Atlanta - Coming Soon,” which lines up with local coverage and the city’s permit timeline, and the Atlanta outpost appears to be the next major expansion for the brand.
Tickets, detailed hours and final ride rules have not yet been widely released, and organizers are steering would-be visitors to the park’s own channels for updates as the June 10 opening nears. For now, what is clear is that Doraville is on track to land a big-ticket indoor playground that blends family-friendly play with carnival-level thrills, all tucked under one very large roof.
