
Two people were left trapped and seriously hurt after a two-car collision Tuesday morning on West Olden Street in Sylmar, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. Fire crews arrived at the scene and used hydraulic rescue tools to free one person from each vehicle. LAFD reported that one patient was in critical condition and the other in serious condition. Both were taken to nearby hospitals, and the department did not release their names or ages.
The department’s incident log lists the crash as a “PHYSICAL RESCUE” at 10:30 a.m., involving a white Lexus and a silver Toyota at 15900 West Olden Street. Units from Fire Station 91 and Battalion 12 responded to the scene. The alert also lists LAPD incident number 1892 and rescue ambulance RA891 as attached to the call, according to LAFD.
