Prince George’s County detectives are banking on some very memorable ink to crack a Forestville robbery case, after releasing surveillance photos and a short video of the man they say hit a local branch last Monday, slipped a note to a teller, and walked out with an undisclosed amount of cash. Police say no employees or customers were hurt during the holdup, but the suspect’s arm tattoos and a black hat may be what ultimately gives him away.
Police Post Photos and Offer Reward
The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Robbery Unit says the robbery happened around 9:45 a.m. when a man entered a bank in the 3400 block of Donnell Drive, handed over a note demanding money, then fled the scene, according to the Prince George’s County Police Department. Investigators released a series of still images, including tight close-ups of tattoos on both the suspect’s right and left arms, and noted that a cash reward is on the table for information that leads to an arrest and indictment. The case is listed under number 26-0026263.
Surveillance Shows Low-Key Note Pass
In the video clip shared by investigators, the man appears to stroll in, quietly pass a note to the teller, then leave while wearing a black hat, according to Daily Voice. The outlet reports that police put out the footage Wednesday in hopes of shaking loose tips from the public, and that the arm tattoos are the clearest detail available to help identify him. Accompanying photos offer close views of both arms that investigators are counting on to spark someone’s memory.
