Le’ondra Messner was found wounded in the residence and rushed to OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital, where she later died. The late-night shooting rattled neighbors and drew a heavy investigative response as detectives worked the scene.
Officers were called to the 700 block of West Third Street around 10:38 p.m., where they found Messner suffering from gunshot wounds, WSYX reports. Early evidence cited by the station indicates the shots came from outside the home and entered through a window near where Messner was standing.
