A Tipton County nurse is behind bars after what investigators describe as a months-long digital deep dive turned up a staggering haul of illicit images and videos. Deputies arrested 33-year-old Cameron Sanders this week after an investigation that started in late December. Authorities say some of the material appears to show children, and detectives are still combing through devices in search of other possible victims.
What Investigators Say
Sanders, listed in state records as a practicing nurse, is charged with aggravated unlawful photographing of a minor, unlawful photography, solicitation of a minor by electronic means, and multiple drug and firearms counts. His bond is set at $250,000, according to FOX13 Memphis. The Tipton County Sheriff’s Office says Sanders remains in custody while the investigation continues.
Timeline And Scope Of The Probe
Tipton County detectives say the probe kicked off on Dec. 26, 2025, after a child's mother found hidden cameras in her daughter's bedroom and bathroom. Deputies later obtained Sanders' phone and brought in the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Department of Homeland Security to help analyze the mountain of digital evidence, according to WMC ActionNews5.
Investigators reported recovering more than 116,000 nude or explicit images, more than 4,000 videos, and over 9,300 files suspected of depicting child sex abuse. That stash allegedly includes 10 videos taken inside a shower, the sheriff's office said. Sheriff Shannon Beasley did not mince words about the scope of the material, telling reporters, "I don't even know where to start."
Search At Munford Home
Reporters with FOX13 Memphis who visited Sanders' Munford residence said they saw a man moving items out of the house while police searched the property. Investigators say they seized thousands of images and videos of children, along with more than 2,400 photos or videos of other unsuspecting females. Deputies also reported finding multiple firearms and prescription narcotics inside the home.
Charges And What Comes Next
The sheriff's office says the case will be presented for possible federal prosecution, and detectives are working to determine whether there are additional victims, according to WMC ActionNews5. Authorities are urging anyone with information, or anyone who believes they may be a victim, to contact the Tipton County Criminal Investigations Division at 901-475-3300, after-hours Central Dispatch at 901-475-4300, or the tips line at 901-475-3307. The sheriff's office also listed [email protected] as an email contact.
Sheriff Beasley noted that the profession Sanders worked in is built on trust, and said the allegations cut directly against that public trust. The investigation remains active, and officials say they plan to use every available resource to locate victims and pursue charges.
