Dallas-based private wine club 55 Seventy has hit a major milestone in Houston, topping out its new three-story clubhouse at 3015 Richmond Avenue in Upper Kirby on Friday. With the structure now at full height, crews are shifting from concrete and steel to interior build-out across the roughly 30,000-square-foot building. Once complete, the clubhouse will sit beside Levy Park and pack in dining rooms, private cellar suites and climate-controlled wine storage on multiple levels.
The project carries an estimated price tag of about $34 million and officially topped out Friday, according to the Houston Business Journal. Plans call for two fine-dining restaurants with seasonal menus, three bars and hundreds of wine-storage lockers reserved for members and their collections.
What’s inside the clubhouse
The clubhouse is expected to span roughly 30,000 square feet and include a rooftop terrace with views over Levy Park, a full-service restaurant with cellar suites, a demonstration kitchen and additional private cellar suites for members, according to Community Impact. The club’s Houston site also highlights a wine brokerage service, full-time sommeliers and luxury wine storage that lets members keep collections on site without corkage fees. Abel Design Group is handling architecture and Gin Design Group is in charge of interiors, according to Secret Houston.
Membership and dining
55 Seventy is sticking with its familiar tiered, fee-based membership model used at the Dallas flagship, with initiation fees and monthly dues previously detailed in earlier coverage of the brand. The Houston clubhouse will fall under the direction of corporate executive chef Josh Sutcliff, who has signaled a menu focused on seasonal, chef-driven dinners, according to the Houston Chronicle. The club promotes the Houston location as a hub for private events, wine education and a full wine concierge service geared toward serious collectors.
Neighborhood context and timeline
The address at 3015 Richmond Ave lands the project in Upper Kirby, directly next to Levy Park and near the planned RO mixed-use development. That puts the clubhouse within easy reach of River Oaks, West University, Montrose and Uptown. Construction kicked off in late 2025 with an opening targeted for fall 2026, according to Secret Houston.
Membership inquiries and a waitlist are available through 55 Seventy’s Houston site, which lists contact information and a membership application portal for prospective members. With the structure now topped out, the club remains on schedule as crews turn to interiors and hospitality-focused fit-out in preparation for member programming next year.
