Columbus is officially on Dutch Bros’ radar. The Oregon-founded drive-thru coffee chain is bringing its first Columbus shop to 5344 W. Broad St., with the company eyeing the fourth quarter of 2026 for a grand opening. When it finally swings open, the West Broad drive-thru is set to pour the full Dutch Bros lineup of handcrafted coffees, cold brews, smoothies, teas, lemonades and Rebel energy drinks.
What the company says
In a press release, Dutch Bros framed a Broad Street trip as anything but a sleepy coffee stop, calling it lively and fast-paced. “A typical visit will feature upbeat music, energetic broistas and outstanding speed, quality and service,” the company wrote, according to WSYX/ABC6. The announcement also teases additional Central Ohio locations as part of an early rollout, though Dutch Bros is only committing publicly to a “late 2026” opening window for Columbus.
Other planned sites and permits
Local reporting and permit filings show Dutch Bros lining up multiple Central Ohio sites, not just West Broad. Earlier coverage has pointed to proposals on Hamilton Road and a Sawmill Road location near Dublin, signaling a broader regional push instead of a one-off experiment. These permits and planning notes indicate the chain is working its way through the development pipeline, which means actual build-out will hinge on approvals and contractor timelines, according to 614Now.
Already in Ohio
Columbus will not be the first place in the state to get a taste of Dutch Bros. The chain opened its first Ohio location in Springfield Township on Sept. 2, 2025, where officials say staff handed out stickers and hosted a ribbon cutting, according to the township’s announcement. That debut appears to have served as a testing ground before the company moved toward Central Ohio’s larger Columbus market, city filings show.
For now, Dutch Bros says the Columbus shop is in the early stages, so residents can expect more details to trickle out as permits, hiring notices and construction updates surface in the coming months. The company is still targeting late 2026 for its Broad Street opening, per WSYX/ABC6.
