
A west Phoenix street turned into a crime scene Saturday night when a man was stabbed during an attempted bike robbery and rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The attack happened near 43rd Avenue and McDowell Road. Police say the suspect took off before officers got there and has not been found.
What police say
According to Phoenix police, the victim told officers that someone tried to take his bicycle. When he refused, the suspect stabbed him and ran away. Phoenix Fire Department crews took the man to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. Officers searched the area but did not locate a suspect, and the investigation is ongoing, according to ABC15 Arizona.
