An Arvada neighborhood was thrown into chaos yesterday afternoon after police say a man stabbed his parents inside a home near Union Circle, then took off before officers tracked him down in Boulder County. Both victims were rushed to a nearby hospital, where officials say they are in stable condition and expected to recover.

According to CBS Colorado, the attack was reported around 12:10 p.m. in the area of 8500 Union Cir. Responding officers found the injured couple and had them transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Police say the suspect, identified only as the couple's adult son, left the scene but did not get far. The Arvada Police Department told CBS Colorado that he was located near Highway 128 west of McCaslin Boulevard and arrested around 2:35 p.m., with help from the Jefferson County and Boulder County sheriff's offices.
