
A late-night burst of gunfire on Pottstown's Beech Street left a 36-year-old man wounded early Sunday, and police are now asking neighbors to help piece together what happened.

According to Reading Eagle, the borough’s ShotSpotter system flagged possible gunfire around 12:45 a.m. Sunday in the area of 438 Beech St. Responding officers found a man with a gunshot wound to the buttocks and called in emergency crews to treat him at the scene.
Reading Eagle identified the victim as 36-year-old Jarrod Jones of Stowe. Detectives have asked anyone who saw or heard anything to call them at (610) 970-6572.
