Boerne’s buzzy brunch favorite is officially heading down the highway. Sunny's All‑Day Brunch & Bar is opening its second location at The Rim shopping center next Monday, June 15, bringing its Boerne‑born brunch energy to San Antonio with the same all‑day menu and cocktail program that built its following.
Owner Albi Zogaj offered a television sneak peek this week while staff put the final touches on the dining room. The new Sunny's is taking over the former Mash'd space and is billed as a daytime hangout that will also keep service going into the evening.
As reported by WOAI, host Michaela went live from the brand‑new location on Wednesday and chatted with Zogaj about bringing what he called "comfortable vibes" to The Rim. The segment flashed several of the dishes on screen, which the host described as "incredible meals," and it also confirmed the June 15 grand‑opening date.
What's on the menu
Sunny's menu leans into brunch comfort, with crepes, sweet cream buttermilk pancakes, a signature Sunny's burger and a full cocktail program, according to Sunny's website. Local coverage of the Boerne flagship has pointed to Tex‑Mex touches and chef‑driven riffs, and CultureMap has highlighted items such as birria Benedicts and elevated brunch bowls, elements the owners say they plan to bring into The Rim kitchen.
From Boerne to The Rim
The Rim site will be Sunny's second location after the original Boerne restaurant debuted in mid‑June 2025, MySA reports. MySA also notes that the new restaurant will occupy the former Mash'd space at The Rim, a spot the team chose for its steady weekend crowds and built‑in foot traffic.
Opening details
The restaurant lists the Rim address and contact information on its site, and the entry for the new location includes a phone number locals can use to make inquiries and check wait times, according to Sunny's website. The brand's Instagram, @SunnysBrunch, has been teasing menu items and peeks at the dining room ahead of next week's opening.
Sunny's arrival adds another brunch option to The Rim's dining lineup, joining spots such as Postino at The Rim and nearby cafes that already draw weekend crowds. Expect lines and a buzzy opening weekend as fans of the Boerne original and local brunch hunters show up to see what the new kitchen is serving.
