The new location is pouring mezcal, spinning trompo-style al pastor, and pumping in live-music energy inside the high-ceilinged former El Bolero space on Oak Lawn, giving late-night taco hunters one more reason to detour through the neighborhood.

According to La Lupita Group, the Dallas restaurant is at 1201 Oak Lawn Ave. in the Design District, and the group also lists a Scottsdale site as coming soon. The Dallas address marks the brand's formal U.S. expansion after it built a following at its San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas locations.
What To Order
The al pastor is the headliner, served either in a traditional corn tortilla or as the chain's signature Golden Pastor, which swaps the tortilla for a griddled cheese shell. CraveDFW reports that the kitchen nixtamalizes a specific Oaxacan corn for its house tortillas and brings in imported spices for several dishes. The menu stretches beyond tacos to include wagyu tostadas, seafood plates, and adventurous bites like grasshoppers, all backed by a bar program that leads with mezcal.

Carlos Ramirez, CEO of La Lupita USA, told The Dallas Morning News, “There is a very special connection between Dallas and Cabo,” a link he says helped steer the brand straight to Oak Lawn.

The opening adds another player to the Design District's growing dining lineup and gives the area one more spot that leans into music and late-night hours. Dallas Design District notes that La Lupita plans to host live music and events that echo the party-forward vibe of its Los Cabos originals.
Day-to-day details are handled through standard reservations channels, and local coverage reports that the space has already been hosting taco tastings and mezcal demonstrations during its opening stretch.
