A late-night drive off Interstate 270 turned into a terrifying wake-up call in Commerce City on Friday, when a vehicle left the highway and plowed into a single-family home near East 54th Avenue and Leyden Street. The crash injured the driver and at least one person inside the house, left visible structural damage, and brought a fast, heavy emergency response to the quiet block.
Before leaving the roadway, the driver hit three other vehicles on I-270, then continued off the interstate and into the home at about 11:40 p.m., according to Denver7.
