A 45-year-old man died Saturday after being taken from a Cleveland Heights home to University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, and the death has been reported by the hospital as a suspected homicide. Authorities have not yet shared additional information about what happened inside the home.
According to 19 News, the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner identified the man as Franklin Smith Jr., 45, of Cleveland. Smith was taken from 1065 Allston Road to University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, where he later died. The hospital then reported his death as a suspected homicide, according to 19 News, which also said it had contacted the Cleveland Heights Police Department for comment.
