DC police have released surveillance photos of two people they say were involved in an assault and robbery off Banner Lane in Northwest Washington, an incident that left an adult woman with non-life-threatening injuries on Tuesday, June 2.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the group got into an argument that escalated fast. One suspect "brandished a firearm and struck the victim," while another suspect grabbed the woman's property, as reported by WJLA. Police say both suspects took off before officers could get to the scene.
In a press release, the Metropolitan Police Department said First District officers responded at about 9:02 p.m., and DC Fire and EMS took the victim to an area hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening. Two people were picked up on a nearby security camera, and investigators are asking anyone who recognizes them to call (202) 727-9099 or text tips to 50411. A reward of up to $10,000 may be available, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

MPD says the surveillance stills show two people walking near the unit block of Banner Lane, and detectives are hoping those images jog someone’s memory enough to put names to the faces.
