Houston police are turning to the public to help track down a man they say robbed a business in the 3400 block of North Shepherd Drive on April 17, and they are sweetening the deal with potential reward money for anyone who helps close the case.
Robbery detectives with the Houston Police Department released surveillance stills of the suspect and posted a wanted alert on June 10 tied to the April 17 incident, according to Houston Police Robbery on X. The post directs anyone with information to Crime Stoppers for possible reward eligibility and links to additional case details on the Robbery Division site. Police have not publicly released the man’s name or listed any formal charges in connection with the notice, and the case remains open.
What investigators have made public
Detectives have shared a handful of surveillance frames and a brief description of the suspect but have not released his identity or described any injuries, as outlined on the Robbery Division’s bulletin. HPD’s robbery team has been leaning on social posts and online bulletins this spring, regularly pushing out unsolved cases in the hope that someone recognizes a face from a still image and calls it in.
How the reward works
Crime Stoppers of Houston runs the anonymous tip line and notes that callers may qualify for cash rewards of up to $5,000 if their information leads to an arrest, according to Crime Stoppers of Houston. Tips can be submitted by calling 713-222-TIPS (8477), through the Crime Stoppers mobile app, or via the group’s website, all while keeping the tipster’s identity confidential. The organization screens the information first, then passes credible leads to HPD detectives for follow up.
Anyone who recognizes the man in the surveillance images or has information about the April 17 robbery is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477 and to review the department’s wanted post for photos and case details. Houston Police Robbery on X hosts the original alert and links directly to the Robbery Division bulletin.
