
Police are searching for a man suspected of raping a 17-year-old girl inside Ferry Point Park in the Bronx on the night of Sunday, June 14, according to the NYPD's Crime Stoppers unit.
On June 24, NYPD Crime Stoppers released a “WANTED FOR RAPE” bulletin saying the attack happened at about 11:00 p.m. on June 14 in the vicinity of Emerson Avenue and Harding Avenue, inside the boundaries of the 45th Precinct. The notice urges anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477), lists the department's sex-crimes hotlines and a Spanish tip line, and says tips can be submitted at the Crime Stoppers website. A reward of up to $3,500 is being offered, according to NYPD Crime Stoppers.

Ferry Point Park sits along the Bronx waterfront in Throggs Neck and falls under the patrol area of the NYPD's 45th Precinct. The park has been the scene of serious violence in recent years, including a double homicide that drew wide reporting.
