A 21-year-old San Antonio man is back on the street on bond after police say he sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl he met on a dating app. Erick Ahli Arzola was arrested in connection with an incident investigators say happened on May 16 at his home, and authorities say the girl later turned over clothing and photographs to officers. According to an arrest affidavit reviewed by local reporters, investigators also point to text messages and a vehicle description that they say link Arzola to the encounter.
As reported by News4SanAntonio, the girl told investigators she met Arzola on the Duet dating app. She said he picked her up, drove her to his home, and later assaulted her there. The affidavit states that officers obtained text messages about him picking her up, photos Arzola allegedly sent to her, and the clothing she said she was wearing that day, including underwear she told police she put back on afterward, which was submitted to the Bexar County Criminal Investigation Laboratory.
Police interviewed Arzola last Wednesday. The affidavit quotes him as acknowledging the Duet profile, confirming that "she had been at his home," and stating that he "admitted to having sexual intercourse with the girl," according to News4SanAntonio. Bexar County jail records show Arzola was later released after posting a $75,000 bond.
