A man was shot and killed in broad daylight Saturday in Southwest Baltimore’s Irvington neighborhood, turning an ordinary afternoon on Frederick Avenue into a homicide scene now under active investigation.
Police say officers were called to the 4100 block of Frederick Avenue on Saturday afternoon for a report of a shooting. When they arrived, they found an adult man suffering from gunshot wounds. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene, and homicide detectives soon took over the case.

According to FOX45 News, officers got to the scene at about 3:37 p.m. on June 27 and located the victim in the 4100 block of Frederick Avenue. The outlet reports that medics pronounced the man dead there and that homicide detectives assumed control of the investigation shortly afterward.
Authorities have not released the victim’s name and have not provided any suspect details. FOX45 News also noted that police had announced no arrests and had not identified a motive, adding that investigators say the probe is ongoing and updates will be provided as new information becomes available.
